Which Insurance Company Covers Damages?

Many might assume that the insurance for the rideshare company itself would cover any damages. However, that’s usually not the case.

If you were in a rideshare vehicle but the driver of another vehicle was at fault for the accident, then that other driver’s insurance would most likely cover the damages. If your rideshare driver was at fault for the accident, their insurance also would most likely not cover damages if the rideshare driver only has the minimum required coverage.
