Attorney Christopher Annunziata comes to the Roth Firm after a diverse and successful twenty-year career as both an attorney and a mediator. Upon graduation from Fordham University School of Law in 1996, Chris moved back to Atlanta where paid his dues defending motor vehicle collisions and premises liability claims as an insurance defense lawyer. Working on behalf of insurance companies, Chris gained valuable experience litigating and trying cases, and developed a deep understanding of how insurance adjusters and their lawyers operate. Over his career as an insurance lawyer, Chris litigated and tried hundreds of motor vehicle collisions and premises liability claims. He has also had two favorable decisions rendered by the Georgia Court of Appeals.
In 2006, Chris realized he no longer wanted to work for insurers and big business and built a thriving mediation practice. As a mediator, Chris used his skills to quickly analyze claims, assess the risks on both sides and help parties achieve their best settlement. He also learned what best persuades claims adjusters and insurance adjusters to settle claims.
Respected by his legal and mediation colleagues, Chris was selected to the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, the nation’s premier association of mediation professionals, and holds an AV-Preeminent Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest level of professional excellence. He was also appointed as a Special Master by Fulton Superior Court Judge to preside over a $500,000 fraud claim.
In December 2016, Chris joined the Roth Firm, where he uses his decades of insider knowledge as a former insurance lawyer and his experience as a mediator to help you get the most value out of your case.
Chris is an active member of various local and national bar organizations and other community groups including the Atlanta Bar Association, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, American Association for Justice, Lawyers Club of Atlanta and the East Point Velodrome Association. Chris has also lectured and presented seminars to his fellow attorneys on various topics, including mediation and alternative dispute resolution.
When Chris is not working hard for his clients, he and his wife Melissa are avid cyclists. Chris and Melissa also like to travel, cook, and play with their rescue dog, Beans. They live in the West Midtown and are members of Northside United Methodist Church. Chris is proud to be a Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket, and while he loves going to Falcons games, he is a die-hard fan of the New York Football Giants.
