Isabel Rubio-Carvajal
Attorney at Law
Isabel Rubio-Carvajal brings more than two decades of legal experience and a rich, multicultural background to representing people injured in car accidents in Georgia. In Venezuela, students transition directly from high school to university, so she moved from a Catholic school to law school at Universidad Dr. Rafael Belloso Chacín in Maracaibo, Venezuela, where she graduated cum laude as an attorney in 2001, built a distinguished career in corporate law, and completed her LL.M. at Georgia State University in 2016, becoming part of the first cohort of foreign-trained attorneys eligible to sit for the Georgia Bar.
Isabel is licensed to practice in Venezuela and Georgia, and for more than twenty years she navigated complex corporate legal matters, culminating as an international compliance attorney overseeing 18 global markets. Despite her success, she felt called to a more meaningful mission—standing up for individuals who need a voice after accidents—and she joined The Roth Firm to focus on personal injury, where her passion for justice can change lives.
Being bilingual and trained in both civil law and common law has shaped Isabel’s path and deepened her connection with diverse communities. Passing the Georgia Bar exam required intense dedication and adaptability, particularly because English is her second language and the U.S. legal system is based on common law rather than the civil code she studied in Venezuela. That achievement strengthened her confidence and affirmed her belief that perseverance can overcome any barrier. Her ability to communicate with clients in both English and Spanish, coupled with a commitment to responsiveness and professionalism, ensures that those she represents feel heard, informed, and supported throughout their case.
Through experience, she knows that personal injury matters are filled with stress and uncertainty, and she takes pride in guiding clients through these difficult moments with clarity and compassion. Isabel’s professional accomplishments reflect both academic excellence and a willingness to blaze new trails. In addition to graduating cum laude in Venezuela, she helped pioneer the LL.M. pathway that allows foreign-trained attorneys to seek licensure in Georgia, and she has been a licensed Georgia attorney since 2017.
The decision to pivot from the corporate world to personal injury was one of the most influential steps she has taken. This leap reinforced her belief that the law is a tool for protecting people and reignited her passion for advocacy. Isabel wants her clients to view her as a trusted advocate who listens carefully, communicates clearly, and remains steadfastly responsive. Helping injured clients obtain the justice and support they deserve provides her with a profound sense of purpose.
As an immigrant who arrived in the United States with nothing but dreams, she is deeply grateful for her journey and committed to ensuring that every client feels valued and heard at The Roth Firm. Outside the office, Isabel enjoys traveling with her family to explore different countries and cultures, reading, and staying active through exercise. Sharing the world with her family reminds her of the importance of diversity and gratitude—values that infuse her practice with empathy, determination, and unwavering dedication to achieving positive results.
