William Gordon was born in Montgomery, Alabama and graduated from the University of Alabama where he received a degree in Political Science with a minor in Law, Public Policy and Society.
After completing his undergraduate education, William moved to Atlanta and spent several years in the legal industry as a legal recruiter working with large multi-national law firms and Fortune 500 companies to recruit attorneys for positions nationwide and abroad.
In 2001, William moved to New York and attended New York Law School. While in law school, William clerked for an insurance defense firm in Montgomery, Alabama where he gained valuable insight regarding how insurance companies evaluate and defend bodily injury and property damage claims.
William also clerked for the Honorable William A. Shashy, Circuit Court Judge for the 15th Judicial Circuit for the State of Alabama.
After obtaining his law degree in 2004, William returned to Montgomery and for six years represented insurance companies who were defending personal injury and property damage claims. William also specialized in defending extra-contractual and bad faith claims brought by individuals who felt the insurance companies has either improperly denied or undervalued claims for bodily injury or property damage.
William returned to Atlanta in 2010 and joined Hall Booth Smith, P.C., one of Atlanta's premier full-service law firms. While at HBS, William represented hospitals, physicians, nurses, and other medical staff in a host of catastrophic personal injury claims involving wrongful death, birth injuries, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and other claims of medical negligence.
William also represented commercial and multi-family residential (apartment) landowners in premises liability actions involving catastrophic claims ranging from aggravated assault to wrongful death where the landowner was viewed as failing to take reasonable steps to maintain the safety of the property.
Armed with years of knowledge of how insurance companies and risk managers assess and defend personal injury claims, William uses this experience day in and day out at The Roth Firm to maximize full value for his clients when they have suffered an injury resulting from the negligence of another.
William is licensed to practice law in Alabama (2004) and Georgia (2010), and has earned an "AV" Preeminent Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the top level of professional excellence. In his spare time, William enjoys golf, music, travelling and is an avid fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide.
